Cookies policy

What are cookies?

We use cookies to make life easier. They help us to improve your experience across our website.

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer by your browser. They tell us about how you use our website, but they do not contain any personal information about you.

We use them to see who is visiting our website, how long they stay for and what they look at.

Our cookies help us:

  • Make our website work as you’d expect

  • Remember your settings during and between visits

  • Improve the speed/security of the site

  • Continuously improve our website for you

  • Make our marketing more efficient

We do not use cookies to:

  • Collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission)

  • Collect any sensitive information (without your express permission)

  • Pass data to advertising networks

  • Pass personally identifiable data to third-parties

Granting us permission to use cookies

Should you wish to remove or not use cookies from our site, you can learn how to do this below. However, doing so is likely to mean our site will not work as expected. It’s entirely up to you.

You can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Manage consent" link at the bottom of every page.

Third-party functions

Our site, like most websites, includes functionality provided by third parties. A good example would be embedded videos. Our site includes the following which use cookies:

  • Necessary – egertons-session and XSRF-TOKEN, which enable the site and forms to function, plus Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from spam. Your cookie choice is also saved in the browser.

  • Analytics – the _ga cookies from Google Analytics, which are only set once a user accepts the cookie banner.

  • Video – Vimeo for embedded videos, which sets its own cookies.

  • Pay online – Stripe for the online payment page, which sets its own cookies.

Disabling these cookies is likely to break the functionality offered by these third-parties. So, any film content we have included might not play properly as it is hosted on Vimeo.

Cookies from other companies and social networking websites

During your visit to the site you may notice some cookies that are not related to Egertons Recovery Group. This happens when you visit a page with content embedded from a third-party (like the videos referenced above). These websites may place cookies on your computer. Egertons Recovery Group does not control how a third-party uses their cookies. You should check their respective privacy policies for more information about their cookies if you are concerned about this.

Anonymous visitor statistics cookies

We use cookies to compile visitor statistics, such as how many people have visited our website, what type of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows which helps to identify when our site is not working as it should for particular technologies), how long they spend on the site, what page they look at etc. This helps us to continuously improve our website. These so-called “analytics” programs also tell us, on an anonymous basis, how people reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have been here before. We use Google Analytics.
